As a Backend Engineer on our core team, you’ll be at the heart of our fraud prevention technology, working closely with Data Analysts and Data Scientists to enhance our core decision-making engine. Your contributions will directly impact the accuracy and speed of our AI-driven fraud detection. You'll design and implement complex backend improvements while ensuring system reliability, uptime, and optimal response times. Additionally, you'll deploy and monitor services in a Kubernetes environment, optimizing performance at scale. Requirements
- BA in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Graph DBs).
- Experience building and working with event-driven systems (e.g., using Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS).
- Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
- Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Experience with automated testing and unit testing frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a curious mindset and a passion for tackling complex engineering challenges.
- Strong sense of ownership, taking initiative to improve systems, processes, and overall product performance.
- High-level English proficiency (written and spoken).

- Proficiency in Python.
