Bilingual E-Commerce Frontend Developer - Contractor

OPPO US Research Center is looking for a skilled E-Commerce Frontend Developer who has expertise in coding for web interfaces while also being familiar with low-code/no-code e-commerce platforms. You will play a key role in optimizing our online store, ensuring a seamless shopping experience, and improving site performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize the frontend of the OnePlus North America e-commerce website.
• Work with modern frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Vue, etc.) to create responsive, high-performance web pages.
• Customize and integrate e-commerce platforms, including low-code/no-code solutions (e.g., Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or other CMS/e-commerce tools).
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend developers to enhance site functionality and user experience.
• Implement A/B testing, SEO optimizations, and web performance improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve frontend issues to ensure a smooth customer journey.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in e-commerce.

• 3+ years of experience in frontend development, preferably within an e-commerce environment.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
• Experience with low-code/no-code e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, BigCommerce, Webflow, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese
• Strong understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web performance optimization.
• Familiarity with APIs, headless commerce architecture, and integrating third-party tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with payment gateways, checkout optimization, and mobile-first design.
• Knowledge of backend technologies and basic database management.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices for e-commerce.

The US base salary range for this position is 50-100/hour. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
