Job Description

Stefanini EMEA is looking for a Security Operations Center (SOC) Team Leader for a 24x7 MSSP team, to complement the growth of the Cyber Security Services (CSS) tower within the EMEA Modern Enterprise services.

For EMEA Region, the Head Quarter of the SOC is based in Romania, Bucharest.

The CSS Team Leader, acting as a people manager for global delivery, plays a crucial role in coordinating the technical aspects of our cybersecurity services. This position ensures that all technical services are seamlessly delivered to the existing accounts assigned within the team, liaising between the SOC team and the customer's technical stakeholders. The role is a blend of technical expertise, service coordination, and people management, ensuring that all technical requirements are understood and executed with precision within the team.

 

The services delivered within the team vary between the following items Security Monitoring, Detection & Response, Phishing Response & Threat Intelligence.

 

Job Responsibilities:


1. People Management:

  • Act as a mentor, adviser, and leader by providing the right direction and support to the 24/7 SOC team.
  • Work closely with other Business Function departments to maintain communications and updates to the team.
  • Own the administrative tasks (24/7 team rotation schedule, timesheets, availability, 1:1 Meetings, career-path guidance, performance review, team objectives, team growth).
  • Back-up to other people managers within the SOC team. 
     

2. Technical Coordination:

  • Act as the bridge between the SOC team and the customer's technical team, ensuring smooth communication.
  • Understand and translate the technical requirements of the assigned accounts (customers) to the SOC team and lead weekly/monthly technical meetings.
  • Coordinate with various teams to schedule, plan, and deliver technical services, technical recommendations, and team support (including KBAs, SOPs, and other required documentation.
     

3. Incident Management:

  • Support the SOC Manager in handling incidents, ensuring rapid and effective communication to all stakeholders.
  • Assist with coordinating resources and technical teams during incidents to streamline the resolution process.
  • Contribute to documenting incidents, actions taken, and post-incident reports for future reference.

4. Service Delivery Support:

  • Monitor the delivery of services to ensure alignment with SLAs and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the SOC Manager to review performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of regular performance and service delivery reports.
  • Be proactive, propose new solutions, and improve existing processes.


Key Requirements:

  • Knowledge or experience with security best practices, frameworks, standards and technologies.
  • 2+ years of previous managerial role/experience is preferable.
  • Understanding of guidelines, policy procedures and processes.
  • Relevant professional certifications in Cybersecurity, IT or/and management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Conflict-Resolution skills.
  • Service Coordination experience.
  • People Oriented & Problem-Solver. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Possess personal and professional integrity with high work ethics.

One of the following backgrounds will be mandatory for the interview phase:
  • Strong cybersecurity technical expertise with little experience in people management - service management or
  • Strong leadership expertise with little (but existing) technical experience in the cybersecurity field or
  • Blend expertise between technical & management in previous jobs.
