Job Description

• Design, maintain and improve our Kubernetes infrastructure, both in the cloud (e.g. Azure) and on-premises (Rancher).
• Negotiate with Architecture team and ICT Security Team for technological improvements.
• Design, implement and maintain the build/release infrastructure.
• Develop and improve deployments with Terraform, Ansible, Powershell, Python, and other scripting technologies used, etc.
• Technical review, assurance and design for deployment.
• Establish and maintain procedures to the deployment of information systems.
• Plan, test and develop infrastructure and application automation.
• Improve the existing Configuration Management (based on Puppet) infrastructure (secrets management, split of code repository, hub-and-spoke architecture, etc.).
• Support day-to-day activities of deploying servers and applications.
• Support continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Monitor and maintain the supporting configuration management infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• More than 9 years of experience in ICT (e.g. as infrastructure engineer, system administrator, software engineer, infrastructure engineer, DevOps engineer, etc.)
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in creating and adapting Technical Designs both at a High Level as a Detailed level, that lead to implementation (i.e. including monitoring characteristics, backup and restore, applying/devising security hardening, CIS guidelines etc. ).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with documenting technical specifications of solutions, in terms of infrastructure design material (deployment views, server and network specifications, etc.) as well as devising and documenting operations procedures.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with systems and IT operations.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux/Unix Administration, preferably Red Hat.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working with Kubernetes.
• Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes. Engineering, deployment, configuration, management and troubleshooting of Kubernetes clusters. (e.g.: rke, rancher, k3d or k3s)
• Very good knowledge in creating Technical Designs both at a High Level as a Detailed level, that lead to implementation by other team members.
• Good knowledge of implementation and configuration of Windows Server and/or Linux server operating systems, including the interaction with Infrastructure at large ( File shares with CIFS/SMB and NFS, secure LDAP integration, Public Key Certificates, Firewall rules, Load Balancing, Service accounts, etc).
• Good knowledge of Implementing Security hardening for Containers,  Operating Systems and/or Applications, including the usage of well-known frameworks ( e.g. CIS guidelines).
• Good Knowledge in configuration of application servers to make usage of the different authentication systems, encryption in traffic, file access and database access. Ability to troubleshoot all of the mentioned components individually and as a set.
• Certification: CKA or CKAD. Kubernetes (e.g. Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, etc.)
• Good command of English equal to B2 level according to CERF.

Desirable:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with an agile methodology.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working with Terraform or Ansible.
• Excellent knowledge of application containerization, packaging and deployment on Kubernetes clusters (helm charts, operators, pipelines).
• Good knowledge of cloud computing.
• Certification: RHCSA/RHCE
