We are searching for an enthusiastic and committed Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic
team at HFM.
Your role at HFM:
- Architect, build, and manage AWS-based infrastructure to ensure scalability, high availability, and robust security.
- Spearhead migration initiatives to AWS, ensuring
seamless integration of on-prem systems into the cloud.
- Define
and implement Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code
(IaC), ensuring repeatable and automated deployments.
- Collaborate
with development teams to design cloud-native solutions using Kubernetes for container orchestration and
management.
- Maintain
and improve CI/CD pipelines for automating
build, test, and deployment processes in the cloud environment.
- Develop
and maintain automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency and reduce
manual effort.
- Continuously
monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise cloud environments to maintain performance,
cost efficiency, and security.
- Participate
in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide
critical production support when needed.
- Act as a mentor and knowledge-sharing
leader, disseminating best practices and
tools across the engineering teams.
Requirements
What
You Bring:
- BSc/BA
in any engineering major.
- Proven expertise in AWS cloud
infrastructure with a strong focus on EC2,
S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and other AWS services.
- Experience
with cloud networking (VPCs, VPNs, subnets,
routing tables, and security groups) to ensure secure and performant network
architectures.
- Strong
knowledge of Unix/Linux systems administration and troubleshooting in cloud environments.
- Advanced
proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure
provisioning and management.
- Hands-on
experience with Kubernetes for managing
containerised applications.
- Experience
with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab
CI/CD, and others, with a focus on automating cloud deployments.
- Familiarity
with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g.,
Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch) to ensure performance and uptime.
- Proficiency
in scripting languages such as Python or Bash to automate operational tasks.
- Previous involvement in large-scale
cloud migrations and building resilient, fault-tolerant systems.
