Frontend Web Developer (React)
Mackin Educational Resources is seeking a Frontend Web Developer to join us at our Burnsville, MN headquarters. You’ll have the chance to contribute your expertise to the next versions of our software applications in the emerging field of education technology. If you fit the description below, then we need to have a chat.
Required skills:
- Strong debugging skills
- Modern Javascript (ES2017+)
- Typescript
- React (functional components, hooks, etc.)
- Node.js
- Express
- Javascript testing frameworks (Karma/Jasmine, Jest, etc.)
Helpful additional skills:
- Build tools (Webpack, Gulp, Rollup, etc.)
- RESTful API design
- SPA Design
- TDD
- Elasticsearch
- Angular.js
We are looking for someone that:
- Thrives in a dynamic working environment where we enjoy helping each other become better developers
- Contributes to outside projects just for the fun of it. You probably participate in code camps, and you often read blogs and articles about web technology
- Has a strong understanding of raw Javascript as it is being used today
- Is able to use and understand ES2015+ changes
- Comfortable writing tests first rather than after everything is done
- Strong debugging skills
- Is curious as to how other people's code works
- Seeks to understand your environment before making changes
- Time permitting, you like to leave code better than you found it
- Strong sense of pride and ownership in your code
- Is able to lead or follow depending on the situation
Hours:
• Full Time Position
• Monday-Friday
