Mission:

 

As part of the Security discipline of the Engineering group of our client in Belgium, the Cybersecurity Architect is responsible for defining systems and solutions with customers, supporting their development and their integration into their target environment.

 

As a main actor of pre-sales and market capture activities, they bring expertise in analyzing customer requests, designing architectures and preparing tenders on cybersecurity topics.

 

The Cybersecurity Architect needs to be technically passionate. Based on their existing background in IT, telecommunication systems and/or cybersecurity, they will be eager to discover new technologies to continuously expand and reinforce their expertise in these fields and their knowledge of the local and global cybersecurity products & services ecosystem.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

·     Understand and analyze the customer’s needs;

·     Find the best solution and lead the architecture definition to meet the customer requirements;

·     Interface with the customer, for the technical-related aspects of the solution;

·     Bring state-of-the-art expertise for their field of expertise, specialty or domain;

·     Take the lead in the system specification and design process, in strong cooperation with all the required technical and non-technical skills involved (e.g. hardware, software, security, quality, maintenance);

·     Contribute to costing activities under the leadership of the Bid & Project Management team;

·     Lead the Make/Team/Buy decision process and support the partner & subcontractor choice throughout the capture & delivery activities;

·     Be in charge of the executive and technical documentation for tenders and projects (including but not limited to design documentation);

·     Support the teams responsible for the implementation and testing of the solution by providing technical expertise on various aspects of the solution under development, ensuring the design and development goals until the final phases of the bid/project.

·     Support the sales and marketing teams by providing internal and external technical pre-sales support for the solutions and services.

 

Profile:

 

·     Masters Degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, IT and/or Cybersecurity).

·     At least 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity solutions design, tendering and implementation activities.

·     At least 3 years of professional experience on at least four of the following topics:


o  Network architecture and security (firewalls, encrypters, routers, ZTN, …);

o  Intrusion detection and response (IDS, xDR, …);

o  SOC-related technologies : log collection & management, SIEM & SOAR ;

o  IT systems architecture, in particular in Windows-centric environments;

o  Cloud-environments (preferably Azure/O365) security aspects, both in hybrid and full-cloud deployments;

o  Risk management under a recognized framework, preferably ISO27005 and/or EBIOS;

o  Asset discovery (IT and/or OT);

o  Vulnerability and patching management, preferably following a risk-based approach;

o  Cyber Range design, procurement and operations;

o  Working with NATO and/or EU regulations on IT and/or OT cybersecurity.

    

 One or more of the following is a strong differentiator:


o Experience and awareness of the spatial and/or military vocabulary and way of working, in particular around cybersecurity;

o Experience with critical communication networks, with legacy (i.e. TETRA or X25) and/or next-generation (broadband LTE/5G);

o Knowledge of Data-Centric Security principles and upcoming regulations;

o Possession of a valid NATO and/or National security clearance;

o Experience with technical and governance constraints related to classified information handling, especially in a crypto-related context;

o Consulting and advisory experience with demonstrated skills in translating business requirements to technical solutions;

o Experience with internal and external knowledge sharing through in-person seminars, webinars and/or whitepapers redaction.

·     Good communication skills, both verbal and written.


•   Fluent in French or Dutch; fluent in English (professional capacity).
