We are looking for a mid-level Fullstack Engineer to join a cross-functional team of data scientists, mobile, web and backend engineers to create custom tailored user flows through personalization. Our team ensures customers realize value throughout their Spotify journey. We deliver personalized experiences that help customers discover new and exciting features and get the most out of their subscription. You will have the opportunity to have a significant impact on Spotifyβs growth and revenue by reaching new users, markets and audiences. We achieve this by truly understanding the needs of our users, and by innovating and experimenting to solve real problems for them, building solutions across the entire Spotify infrastructure to support our goal.

What You'll Do- Drive key architectural decisions across the stack - client, backend, data and quality.
- Be hands on and deliver on complex backend and frontend tasks.
- Work with other engineers on the team to adopt best practices and improve the quality of our solutions.
- Adopt a data first mindset, producing high-quality data about user interactions and leveraging experimentation to measure the impact of new features.
- Drive collaboration within agile teams of engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers and Product Designers to build new product features.
- Develop individually to continue to grow your impact and help mentor peers.
Who You Are- You are experienced in designing and delivering backend applications in Java.
- You have a working knowledge in developing web applications in React, TypeScript and NextJS.
- You have a growth mindset, are curious and not afraid to be experimental. You share your ideas and continuously improve yourself and the team around you.
- You care about agile software development and a culture of constant learning and improvement.
- You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and can communicate your ideas.
- Experience with Conversion and Retention is a plus!
Where You'll Be- This role is based in London (UK), or Stockholm (Sweden).
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
